Community Information:

You'll find many local shops, restaurants and bars along Commercial Blvd. The beachfront is lined with low-rise condos, boutique hotels and a fishing pier. Snorkeling and suba diving is excellent in the area due to local reefs being so close to the beach. In fact, LBTS is known as the beach diving capital of the world!

Directions:

TO THE SOUTH: Just South of LBTS on A1A you’ll find Fort Lauderdale Beach, where high-rise condos, expansive beaches, upscale shopping and nightlife are abundant. This is where the excitement and beauty of Fort Lauderdale is and it is just around the corner for you to enjoy. If you prefer to travel by water, this part of Lauderdale is easily accessible by boat or water taxi. Traveling South on Federal Highway (US1), you’ll run into downtown Fort Lauderdale, a cultural and historic city on the New River, also known as the “Venice of America” because of its intricate waterway system and accessibility by boat. Travelling further to the South you’ll run into Hollywood, Miami and eventually the Florida Keys. TO THE NORTH: Just to the North is Pompano Beach, another beachfront town known for its water sports and sport fishing. Further to the North you’ll find Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach and the beautiful town of Boca Raton where you’ll find some of the best restaurants, shopping and beaches in the area. Continuing a short way North of Boca you’ll come to Palm Beach, another historic and cultural center for the area. TO THE WEST: Most people come to Fort Lauderdale for the waterfront and beachside activities, but there are some worthwhile attractions to the West as well. Everglades National Park is an absolutely huge park in the local area and is perfect for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. If you like gambling and late night fun, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino is only a stone’s throw away. Finally, for a good day or weekend trip, just a short drive across Alligator Alley is Florida’s west coast and the Gulf of Mexico where you’ll find the lovely town of Naples, Sanibel Island and Fort Myers. TO THE EAST: Looking to the East you’ll see nothing but blue water, but just 50 miles off the coast is the start of the Bahamas, including thousands of islands full of tropical enjoyment. The Bahamas are easily accessible from Fort Lauderdale by boat, plane or cruise ship.
